The Aggie basketball team may have ran out of time tonight againt t.u. but I was on top of this Longhorn.

Day 30: January 30, 2011

Sunday was a gorgeous day in Dallas, Texas. Perfect weather for a bike ride. I went for my first road ride of the season. I started out doing the inadequately named 'Donut Ride', a 20 mile ride in Richardson/Plano.

I wanted to push myself, so after the Donut Ride, sans donut, I rode down the White Rock Trail to White Rock Lake and back.



Between the two routes, I totaled 45 miles. Not bad for my first ride of the season. Less than 13 weeks until the MS 150!

Day 29: January 29, 2011

On Saturday, Darrell and I participated in the Big D Climb.

We climbed 52 flights, 1040 stairs.



The feeling at the finish line, after climbing 1040 steps encouraging each other, was worth every bit of pain.

Mom and Grandma were there to cheer us on. After the climb, we enjoyed tourist activities around downtown and a delicious lunch at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.

Day 28: January 28, 2011

Uh oh! Water leak in my apartment this morning as a result of the sprinkler pipe bursting. Luckily, nothing other than the ceiling was damaged. Hopefully it is fixed by the time I get home from work today.

Day 27: January 27, 2011

He's adorable. I can't wait to get home after work, he's always happy to see me, no matter how late I work. He's the perfect cuddle buddy, but makes getting up in the morning extremely difficult.

Day 26: Janaury 26, 2011

Frankie needed a scapegoat, like the one in this video, this morning. When I was in the shower, I heard a loud bang and crash. I quickly hopped out, soaking wet, because I figured Frankie was somehow involved, so I wanted to make sure he wasn't hurt.



He somehow managed to topple over his food, which was on the table next to my couch, on to the floor. When I found him, at least he was cleaning up his mess. He's cute, even if he's in trouble.

Day 25: January 25, 2011

At work, we have a dinner rotation calendar. It saves time, as there are no lengthy dinner discussions as to where to eat. Each night, one person gets to pick dinner, and it rotates through all the team members throughout busy season. Tonight was my night. I picked Freebirds, delicious burritos. And it reminds me of College Station. I ate Freebirds at least once a week when I was a student at Texas A&M.
