As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. In an effort to remember the big and little events of my life, it is my New Year's resolution to blog about it.

Day 323: November 19, 2011
As Texas A&M's Big XII days are numbered with the conference move to the SEC, I am thankful that I was able to return home to Aggieland for one last game. And I'm even more thankful that I got to see Texas A&M beat the hell outta ku! It was a beautiful day in College Station, and it was a great game, with a final score of 61-7.

Day 288: October 15, 2011
I went to a couple Rangers games this year- here and here. This season has been really exciting, after the Rangers made their first appearance in the World Series last year.
For the second consecutive year, the Rangers won the ALCS and are headed to the World Series again!!

Day 281: October 8, 2011
Another exciting football game! You never know what is going to happen when the Aggies and the Red Raiders match up- always an exciting football game. This time- the Aggies came out on top with a win in Lubbock, 45-40.Saturday, October 1, 2011
Day 274: October 1, 2011
I haven't blogged much about football yet this year- but that's not because of a lack of enthusiasm for the sport.
Texas A&M was officially accepted to the SEC on September 26, 2011. Perfect timing for the annual Southwest Classic football game between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas A&M, which is played at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. It was an exciting ballgame, but Texas A&M ran out of time.

The move to the SEC is bittersweet for me. I grew up watching Big 12 football. I spent my fall Saturdays in college tailgating and watching the Aggies play at Kyle Field against other Big 12 teams. I'm looking forward to next football season against different opponents in our new conference.

Day 266: September 23, 2011
I witnessed history tonight, as the Rangers clinch AL West title, the 5th playoff berth in franchise history.

It was the perfect evening to watch a baseball game. The weather was gorgeous, the company was amazing, and the Rangers won!
Win, win, win.

Day 217: August 5, 2011
To celebrate his birthday, Mom, Darrell, Grandma and I went to the Rangers game. It is one of Darrell's favorite things to do and Grandma had never been to a Rangers game before. I think hot dogs and peanuts taste better while watching a baseball game. We had a great time at the ballpark!

Day 37: February 6, 2011
Dallas hosted Super Bowl XLV! The weeks leading up to the big game were very exciting around town!!

Dallas- home of Super Bowl XLV!
The Dallas Convention Center hosted the NFL Experience. I look small in the middle of the HUGE XLV Roman Numerals in downtown Dallas.

Bird's eye view of the Super Bowl!
On my way back to DFW from PHX, the pilots flew us right near Cowboy's Stadium for a bird's eye view of the Super Bowl festivities.

Day 15: January 15, 2011
Saturday I attended a hockey doubleheader. The Aggie hockey team played the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Aggies won, 6-5. At least we beat Arkansas at something this year, after a sad loss to the football team in October. After the game, I went to an Aggie Happy Hour at the House of Blues. It was fun to mingle with other Aggies.
The Dallas Stars game was Saturday evening. I discovered Saturday I really don't know much about hockey at all. I'm a football girl, always have been, always will be.
Day 14: January 14, 2011
Friday night I went with my family to watch a family friend's son play on the rival high school's basketball team against my high school. It was an interesting experience, going back to my old high school. The gym was since redone since I graduated and it looked great. A flood of old memories came back to me as I was watching the game. Memories from when I was in high school, playing the violin in the school's orchestra, teachers and lessons I learned that I will never forget.
