Day 311: November 7, 2011

I am thankful for technology, not only my iPhone, but my computer, my TV, the Internet; the list is endless. It makes life easier sometimes (unless it is broken or not working properly, then it is just frustrating). I've often joked with my family that I couldn't have survived in the generations they grew up in. It is always so interesting hearing the stories my Grandma tells about living on the farm, having an outhouse, remembering when they got their first TV, etc. And it makes me appreciate that I am a product of the '80s. I know that I am spoiled by technology, but I'm ok with that.

I am thankful for my amazing girlfriends. They always know what I need to hear and when I need to hear it. They always have listening ears and helpful advice. And they're always willing to get frozen yogurt after a bad day.

Day 307: November 3, 2011

I am thankful for not for profit organizations that exist to help those in need. I am personally involved with the National MS Society, an organization dedicated to ensuring that people don't stop moving as a result of MS and that a cure is found, in this lifetime! I am honored to be apart of the organization.

Day 306: November 2, 2011

Graduation Day

I'm thankful for my job, which has challenged me since the day I started my career, in January 2009. It was three weeks after I walked across the stage in front of my family and friends as I graduated college until I started my first full time job as an auditor. I still remember how I felt my first day of work, like I was Barbie, playing dress up (and getting paid for it!). It's amazing, nearly three years later to see how much I've grown up in the corporate world, from Barbie to professional. Sometimes I still like to pretend I'm Barbie.

Day 305: November 1, 2011

I have a lot to be thankful for. From now, until Thanksgiving, I will be blogging about it.

I'm thankful for my childhood, the land of innocence, which taught me dreams do come true. In my heart, I'm still that child, who can wish upon a star and throw a coin in a wishing well and see magic happen.
