Day 165: June 14, 2011

After months of anticipating and anxiously awaiting a vacation, the time has finally come! My family and I left for our fourth trip to Jamaica.



A little Jamaican history...
Jamaica was colonised by the United Kingdom in 1655. It gained full independence in 1962.
It is the largest island in the Caribbean.
The Jamaica population is 2.8 million people.
The Jamaican economy is made up of agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and tourism. Jamaica's agricultural exports are sugar, bananas, coffee, rum,and yams. Over a million foreign tourists visit Jamaica each year.
